Carpenter Elementary's lunch schedule is now available here or from the link at the top of the Staff page. Now you will always know exactly when to meet your child for lunch in the cafeteria.

Fall Running Club
Running Club is back! Every Friday morning from 8:15-8:45 students in grade 1-5 are invited to run or walk the track. Check the Running Club Page for details and cancellations. Hope to see you there! Contact Jen Mahone with questions.

2009-2010 Revised Schedule
Starting this school year, all Wake County schools will operate on an adjusted schedule to allow for more staff development time. This gives teachers dedicated time during the school day for professional development.

Carpenter's new schedule will begin July 7th:
Monday-Friday - school begins at 9:05, doors open to students at 8:45.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - school dismisses at 3:45.
Wednesday - school dismisses at 2:45.

Every Wednesday will be an Early Dismissal Day for the 2009-2010 School Year. On certain special early release days school will dismiss at 1:15. All special release days have been determined. Refer to the Wake County website or the back of the parent handbook.

Reminder
Parents should visit the media center to register as a volunteer. It's necessary to reactivate your status every year.

OSEEC Update
The latest news about the Outdoor Science and Environmental Education Center is posted on the PTA website.

SIP Committee
The School Improvement Plan (SIP) Committee at Carpenter Elementary meets on the first Monday of each month (* except for holidays) at 4:15 in the Media Center.
