Grades 1-5 Open House
Open house for students in grades 1 through 5 will be held on Thursday, July 3rd from 12:00 to 1:30. At this time, your child may meet his teacher and become familiar with the classroom. School spirit wear will be on sale during this event and payment can be made via cash or check.
Kindergarten Schedule
The first week of kindergarten operates on a staggered entry schedule. Students attend school only one day of the first week. On Friday of that week there will be an open house. At this time, you and your child can meet the teacher and become familiar with the classroom.
Staggered entry schedule for tracks 1, 2 and 3:
July 7: last names beginning with letters A-E
July 8: last names beginning with letters F-L
July 9: last names beginning with letters M-S
July 10: last names beginning with letters T-Z

The first day of school is Monday, July 7 for students in Tracks 1, 2, and 3. Students in Track 4 will begin on Monday, July 28th. Our school hours are from 9:15 to 3:45 (students may enter the building each morning at 8:45). If you need before or after school care for your children, please contact the Cary Family YMCA as they will provide child care at Carpenter before and after school.Supply Lists

There are only a handful of yearbooks left for purchase. Yearbooks can be purchased from the school office. Please pay $12 by cash or check (payable to Carpenter Elementary).Carpenter Chronicles

There are new immunization requirements for students in North Carolina.
Required Immunization is: TdaP Tetanus and Diphtheria vaccine with Pertussis added
- Required for students entering 6th grade on or after August 1, 2008 if five or more years have passed since their last dose of Td (commonly called "Tetanus" shot.)
- Tdap is now required to protect against pertussis (whooping cough). Whooping cough is a serious illness, and outbreaks can occur at any time.
