The School Improvement Plan (SIP), required by the State of North Carolina, provides a framework that supports the mission of a professional learning organization. Carpenter's SIP committees meet every month and follow a planning cycle of four basic steps: Study (use data to determine areas in need of improvement and possible root causes), Reflect (what might need to be done differently and implement best practices), Plan (prioritize and determine key processes/behaviors that will impact Carpenter), and Do (put the process in motion and monitor your progress along the way).
